ショパンゆかりの場所
第2次世界大戦で列柱だけが残ったこの宮殿はもともとサクソニア王家が所有していたもので、サスキ宮殿という名前はそこに由来しています。1797年にはその頃のワルシャワを占領していたプロイセン政府の所有物となりました。ワルシャワ立憲王国時代だった1810年、フレデリックの父がこのサスキ宮殿の一角にあったワルシャワ高等学校の仕事を得たため、ショパン一家はここへ引っ越してきます。
